Eczema Treatments Skin Conditions

Looking for:

elocon_cream

Elocon is a topical corticosteroid that is prescribed to treat severe forms of the skin conditions psoriasis and eczema (e.g. contact dermatitis). Elocon should not be used on wounds or on skin which is ulcerated. Elocon should not be used in patients who are sensitive to mometasone furoate or to other corticosteroids or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. In order to alleviate the condition and avoid flare-ups, it is essential to avoid triggers, which vary from person to person.

Since there is no known cure for these skin conditions, it is important to adopt certain lifestyle habits to prevent flare-ups as much as possible. In most people, this may mean using a body wash without perfumes and soap. Using washing products made purposely for hypersensitive and dry atopic skin will prevent further irritation and drying of the top layers of the skin. Triggers may vary from person to person but can include soaps, detergents, and perfumes.

You should not use Elocon cream or Elocon ointment if you have immune system problems or diabetes, unless your doctor has decided it is suitable. You may have a few issues with itching, stinging or burning when you first begin applying Elocon cream or Elocon ointment, but this will usually only last for a couple of days. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, speak to a doctor or a pharmacist about your options. Tell your doctor or a medical professional immediately if you notice any more severe side effects when using Elocon, including stretch marks or skin thinning and discoloration. Other side effects may include hair bumps, acne and changes to skin texture. Elocon is one of a group of medicines called topical corticosteroids.

Stop using Elocon scalp lotion and seek medical attention if your condition is not improving or if you develop small, pus-filled blisters under the skin. You should also watch out for stretch marks, blurred vision and acne inflammation. If you’re living with eczema or experiencing a flare-up rest assured, we have a range of eczema lotion that could be right for you. Find the best eczema cream to treat your symptoms and soothe skin.

Atopic eczema causes the skin to become itchy, dry, cracked and sore. Elocon Ointment Cream uses may have some other special case uses. My Pharmacy offers a wide range ofskin careproducts, including Balneum Cream and Eumovate Eczema Cream. Elocon Cream Ointment contains Mometasone Furotate which is a steroid.

Take care to avoid getting the cream or ointment in your eyes, mouth or nose. Don't apply Elocon to broken or infected areas of skin, unless the infection is also being treated. Don't apply it to the face unless instructed to by your specialist. Your personal information will never be passed on to anyone other than our medical staff.

Drug interactions may alter how your medicines work or may increase your risk for serious side effects. It is important that you share with your doctor a list of all medications you are currently taking before you start using Elocon Ointment. This will give your doctor the opportunity to check for drug interactions in the drug combinations. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without the knowledge and approval of your doctor.

Dermatitis or contact dermatitis is a type of eczema triggered by contact with a particular substance. It causes the skin to be dry and irritated; there may be swelling and redness. Elocon Scalp Lotion belongs to a group of medicines called topical corticosteroids. For this medicine to work effectively, the patient must apply the lotion to the surface of the skin to reduce the redness and itching that comes with dermatitis and psoriasis. Elocon cream and ointment both contain the active ingredient mometasone furoate 0.1%, which is a type of medicine known as a topical corticosteroid. Mometasone ointment is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.

Mometasone furoate exhibits marked anti-inflammatory activity and marked anti-psoriatic activity in standard animal predictive models. Elocon topical preparations are not for ophthalmic use, including the eyelids, because of the very rare risk of glaucoma simplex or subcapsular cataract. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. Like all medicines, Elocon can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

This product is not suitable for children under the age of 2. It also gets to work quickly and should only be used in the short term. Furthermore, it can be used by most adults and children over 2 years old. You know perfectly well what's good and what isn't good for you.
